Nan Shepherd’s book ‘The Living Mountain’ (1977) is centred on a mountain range on the eastern side of Scotland and is closely associated with the high plateau of the Cairngorms. In 2003 the area became known as ‘The Cairngorms National Park’.

This photographic exhibition of 40 specially created works, concentrates equally on all elements of these mountains namely: Plateau, Air and Light, Water, Frost and Snow, Plants, Birds, Mammals and Insects.
